			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since it is the holiday season, our theme for this meeting will be <em>Compassion</em>.</p>
<p>TME <strong>Susan Zhou, DTM</strong>, will lead the meeting.  <strong>Jenny Ni, CC &amp; CL</strong>, will facilitate a discussion on compassion.</p>
<p>Two of our speakers will be reaching a milestone in their Toastmasters journey.  <strong>Spike Gu, ACB &amp; CL</strong>, will be giving his A20 speech and <strong>Emily Minor, CC &amp; ALS</strong>, will be giving her A10 speech.  <strong>Joyce Hu, CC &amp; CL</strong>, rounds out the prepared speakers.</p>
<p>GE <strong>Jack Guo, CC</strong> from IDEAL TMC, will give us the fresh perspective of a sister club member.  IEs include <strong>Carlo Wolff, ACB &amp; ALB </strong>and <strong>Irene Zha, CC</strong> guest from Leadership TMC<strong>.</strong></p>
<p>Guest <strong>Anna Zhou</strong>, from 5C+ TMC, is supporting CAT by timing our meeting.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last night, we were privileged to watch <strong>Spike Gu ACB</strong> deliver his tenth advanced speech. This was a team technical presentation in which he worked with three other people &#8211; a demanding task at the best of times, but one that he pulled together well.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s great to see someone with talent practising and refining their skills so that they can demonstrate their abilities when it counts.</p>
<p><strong>Congratulations, Spike!</strong></p>
<p>Other highlights included a speech from the Public Relations Manual from <strong>Chris Haynes CC</strong>, a great job as Toastmaster from <strong>Bill Wang ACB</strong>, and Southbank (Brisbane, Australia) Toastmaster <strong>Andrew Smith</strong> delivering a smooth and integrated Table Topics session.</p>
<p>Our training was on eye contact. In this, <strong>Daniel Smith DTM</strong> emphasised the need to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Project yourself</li>
<li>Be present, and to</li>
<li>Connect with the Purpose of your speech</li>
</ul>
