Later in the afternoon, Wendy Wang ACB ALB was elected Division Governor for Division D, and Bill Wang ACB was elected Division Governor for Division L, the new Division for CAT. No doubt many other CAT members will be taking on other leadership roles within the District, and we look forward to their success.

Table Topics Master Joyce Hu CC CL will warm up our speaking skills by challenging us to give impromptu speeches.

Remember the grammarian report that kept the audience laughing throughout it?  Larry Schuster will be training at the District 85 Annual Conference in May.  We’re honored that he’ll give CAT a preview of this workshop!

Other highlights included a speech from the Public Relations Manual from Chris Haynes CC, a great job as Toastmaster from Bill Wang ACB, and Southbank (Brisbane, Australia) Toastmaster Andrew Smith delivering a smooth and integrated Table Topics session.

Our training was on eye contact. In this, Daniel Smith DTM emphasised the need to:

• Project yourself
• Be present, and to
• Connect with the Purpose of your speech
