CAT meeting – April 22nd

This Thursday, TME Jenny Ni CC CL will lead us in a fun-filled meeting.

Table Topics Master Joyce Hu CC CL will warm up our speaking skills by challenging us to give impromptu speeches.

Remember the grammarian report that kept the audience laughing throughout it?  Larry Schuster will be training at the District 85 Annual Conference in May.  We’re honored that he’ll give CAT a preview of this workshop!

Learn how to use humor and exaggeration to correct and improve grammar problems in your club. In this workshop, you will find that a grammarian’s report no longer needs to be an unmemorable list of grammar and word usage errors. Using humor, Larry will show how to make routine grammar and word usage problems come alive in a way you will not forget.  Check out his very new Shanghai Grammar Blog.

We’ll have speeches from Aky, KC and guest Fei Hong from the Leadership club.

Our newest member Carmel Valencia CC CL will share her thoughts on our meeting during her GE report.  IEs include Susan Zhou DTM, Carlo Wolff ACB ALB, and Bill Wang ACB.

Don’t miss this meeting!

Congratulations Carlo!!!

Did you hear?

CAT’s President, Carlo Wolff ACB ALB, won the Division F International speech contest!

Competition was tough, and he had to beat some of the best speakers around Shanghai. But he did it. And we’re very proud of him.

We have just a few weeks before the national championships at the District Conference. Make sure you’ve got your ticket – it’s going to be a tremendous event!

And take advantage of the opportunity to see more of Carlo before the contest at our next few meetings – this Thursday, 22 April, and next Wednesday, 28 April, for our joint meeting with IDEAL.

Also congratulations to our MVP, Joyce Hu, CC CL who won third place in the Mandarin Showcase!
